Chapter 1: The Autumn Gathering

In a small, cozy house with a bright yellow door, three little boys named Max, Leo, and Sam were very excited. The leaves outside were turning bright orange, yellow, and red. “Look at all the colors!” shouted Max, pointing out the window. The trees looked like they were wearing their best clothes for autumn.

Today was a special day. It was the day of the big autumn gathering at Max's house! Max's family loved to celebrate the fall. They always invited friends and shared yummy food. Max, Leo, and Sam were busy getting ready. They wore their soft, cozy sweaters. Max wore a red one, Leo wore blue, and Sam wore green. “We look like a rainbow!” giggled Leo.

“Let's help set the table!” said Sam with a big smile. The boys ran to the kitchen. The air smelled sweet and warm, like apples and cinnamon. Max's mom was making a delicious apple pie. “Do you boys want to help?” she asked, her eyes twinkling.

“Yes, please!” they all shouted together. They loved helping in the kitchen. The boys climbed on their little stools. They washed their hands and learned how to peel apples. “Peeling apples is fun!” laughed Sam. The apples were shiny and red. They felt cool in their hands.

As they worked, Max's mom talked about autumn. “In autumn, the days get shorter, and the air becomes cooler. Animals prepare for winter, and trees drop their leaves,” she explained. The boys listened closely. “What do the squirrels do?” asked Leo, curious.

“They gather nuts and hide them for winter,” said Max's mom. “And what about the birds?” asked Sam. “Some birds fly far away to warmer places,” she replied. The boys imagined the little birds flying high in the sky, looking for sunshine.

Chapter 2: The Autumn Festival

When the table was ready, it looked beautiful! There were pumpkins, colorful leaves, and yummy food everywhere. Max's dad brought out the apple pie, and it was warm and golden. “Wow! It smells amazing!” said Leo, his eyes wide with joy.

Soon, the doorbell rang. “Ding-dong!” went the bell. It was their friends! Little Mia, with her shiny brown curls, and her brother, Jake, who wore a big smile. “Happy autumn!” they cheered! The boys jumped up and down, excited to see their friends.

“Let's play outside!” suggested Sam. The boys and their friends rushed out into the garden. The leaves crunched under their feet as they ran. They threw leaves in the air, and the colors twirled around them. “Look at the flying leaves!” Max shouted, laughing.

They played tag, chasing each other around the big oak tree. “You can't catch me!” giggled Mia as she ran. The boys laughed and ran as fast as they could. The cool breeze tickled their cheeks and made them feel happy.

After playing, they all sat in a circle on a soft blanket. Max's mom came outside with cups of warm apple cider. “This is a special autumn drink,” she said. The boys took tiny sips. “Mmm, it's sweet!” said Leo, his face lighting up with delight.

As they sipped their cider, Max's family shared stories about autumn traditions. “In some places, people have parades with big floats and costumes,” said Max's dad. “And people love to go to pumpkin patches to pick their own pumpkins!” The boys imagined themselves searching for the biggest pumpkin.

“Let's make our own tradition!” suggested Sam, his eyes sparkling. “How about a leaf treasure hunt?” The boys cheered! They all agreed it was a wonderful idea.

Chapter 3: The Leaf Treasure Hunt

After finishing their drinks, they grabbed little bags to collect leaves. “We can find the prettiest ones!” said Mia. “Let's go!” shouted Max. They searched under the trees, around the bushes, and even behind the big rocks.

“Look at this one!” shouted Leo, holding a bright red leaf. “And this one is so big!” said Max, showing a golden leaf. They filled their bags with leaves of all colors—red, yellow, and brown.

After a while, they gathered near the big oak tree. “Let's see who found the most beautiful leaves!” suggested Jake. They spread their leaves on the blanket. Each leaf was unique and special. “They are all so pretty,” said Sam.

Max's mom came to see the leaves. “You found wonderful treasures!” she said, smiling. “Now, how about we make a colorful autumn collage?” The boys nodded excitedly. They glued their leaves on a big piece of paper, creating a beautiful autumn picture.

As the sun began to set, the sky turned a soft pink and orange. The boys and their friends felt happy and warm inside. They had learned so much about autumn and had so much fun together.

“Today was a perfect day!” said Max, hugging his friends. “Let's do this every year!” The boys all agreed, and they promised to celebrate autumn together every year, with apple pie, cider, and lots of colorful leaves.

And so, in the little house with the yellow door, the boys learned about the beauty of autumn and the joy of friendship. They felt grateful for the season and the wonderful memories they created together.

“Happy autumn!” they all cheered, their voices echoing in the cool evening air. And with that, they watched the last leaves fall gently from the trees, knowing that the best of autumn was still to come.
