A calm, bright spring scene: a 2-year-old boy with a round face, rosy cheeks and little blonde locks, smiling in wonder as he holds a beige teddy and touches a daffodil petal; his mother, about 30, hair in a bun and wearing a light floral dress, stands on a small back porch smiling at him; a small white rabbit with black eyes hops near the flowers while a yellow-and-black striped bee with translucent wings hovers above the daffodils; the garden has vivid yellow daffodils, fresh green grass, a soft dirt path and a warm sunbeam through a tree, rendered in soft colors with visible gouache textures, simple rounded shapes and a comforting, childlike mood. report a problem with this image

Tommy woke up to a warm sunbeam tickling his nose. He blinked and smiled. "Spring is here!" he said to his teddy bear. Tommy loved spring.

Tommy put on his shoes and went outside. The air smelled fresh, like flowers and grass. Birds sang happy songs in the trees. "Hello, birds," Tommy waved. He heard a soft rustle in the bushes. "Who's there?" he asked gently.

A little bunny hopped out. "Hi, bunny," Tommy giggled. The bunny wiggled its nose. Tommy crouched down. "Do you like spring too?" he asked. The bunny twitched its ears and hopped away.

Tommy walked to the garden. He saw bright yellow daffodils. "Pretty flowers," he said, touching a soft petal. A gentle breeze blew, and Tommy felt it on his cheeks. "I like the wind," he whispered.

Then, Tommy heard buzzing. He looked up and saw a bee. "Hello, bee," he said. The bee flew from flower to flower. "You are busy," Tommy laughed. He watched the bee and felt happy.

Tommy's mom called from the porch. "Time for lunch, Tommy!" she said. Tommy ran back, his feet tapping on the ground. "I saw a bunny, flowers, and a bee!" he told his mom.

"Spring is full of surprises," she smiled, giving him a hug. Tommy felt warm and safe.

As he ate his sandwich, Tommy thought about spring. He knew it was a special time. Spring was when everything woke up and felt new.

In spring, finding joy in little things makes every day bright.
