Small red fox with soft fur, white chest and fluffy tail sniffing flowers by a clear stream; a small grayish-white rabbit with floppy ears hops to the fox’s left through tall grass; a yellow-and-black bee buzzes over a nearby red flower; two colorful birds perch on a background branch; green meadow with clumps of flowers, young trees, pale blue sky and warm morning light—a joyful spring morning scene centered on the two friends by the stream. report a problem with this image

In the soft light of morning, Fox twitched his nose. Sniff, sniff. "Mmm," he said. "I smell spring!"

Fox wiggled out of his cozy den. He trotted through the meadow, grass tickling his paws. He heard a gentle "tweet-tweet" above. Little birds hopped on tree branches, singing to the sun.

Fox padded to a bubbling brook. "Swish, swish," went the water. He leaned close and saw his reflection. "Hello, Fox," he giggled.

Nearby, Fox noticed flowers. "Look at those colors!" he said. Red, yellow, and blue danced in the breeze. "Hello, flowers," Fox whispered, and the flowers nodded back, "Hello, Fox."

Fox's tummy rumbled. He spotted a patch of berries. "Yum, yum," he said, munching happily. They were juicy and sweet, just like spring.

Then, he heard a gentle "buzz, buzz." A bee flew by. "Hello, Bee," said Fox. "Thank you for making everything bloom."

Fox lay down on the soft ground. He watched fluffy clouds float by. "What do you see, Cloud?" he asked. Cloud just drifted, showing shapes of bunnies and boats.

Closing his eyes, Fox felt the warm sun on his fur. "Ahh," he sighed, feeling cozy and safe.

"Spring is here," said Fox. "And it's full of wonders."

He opened his eyes and saw his friend, Bunny, hopping nearby. "Hello, Bunny!" said Fox. "What a nice day for a spring adventure."

Bunny twitched his nose. "Yes, Fox," he said. "Let's explore together!"

Fox and Bunny roamed the meadow, feeling the joy of spring in every step.
