One sunny day, Mia, Leo, and Lily played in the cozy living room. Mia had a soft teddy bear. Leo had a blue ball. Lily had her red car. Suddenly, Mia looked around and said, “Where is my teddy?” Leo and Lily looked too. Teddy was not on the sofa. Teddy was not under the table.

“Let's be detectives!” said Lily. The three friends giggled. They looked by the books. No teddy. Leo said, “Let's check the kitchen!” They tiptoed like little mice. Teddy was not by the fridge. “Peek under the chair!” said Mia. Leo peeked. No teddy!

Lily saw a small foot sticking out behind the big curtains. “Look!” said Lily. All three ran over. There was Teddy, hiding in a sunbeam! “He wanted to play hide and seek!” Mia smiled and hugged Teddy tight.

Everyone laughed. Leo said, “Good job, team!” Lily clapped. Mia said, “Thank you, friends!” They all sat together with Teddy, the blue ball, and the red car. They felt happy and safe.

Sometimes, little things hide. But when friends work together, they find them with big smiles and gentle hugs.
