Old Sam is a kind pirate. He has a big hat and a warm smile. He walks on the deck. "Ahoy!" he sings. Toc-toc goes the wood. The sea is calm. The sun is soft.
One day, the sail tears. Oh no. Sam looks. He smiles. He thinks. He uses rope and tape. He hums a tune, hop hop. The sail looks happy. The ship moves on.
A small wind hides the map. The crew looks sad. Sam sits. He breathes. He looks at the sky. He uses a stick to draw a map in the sand. "This way," he says. The crew nods. They clap. Yay!
They see a bright isle. Plouf! Little waves splash. Sam helps a bird stuck on a twig. He says, "Fly, friend." The bird hops, flaps, and flies. The crew cheers. The isle has a tiny chest, not big gold. Inside are sweet shells and a note. The note says, "Share and smile." Sam smiles wide.
At night, stars wink. Sam tells a fun tale. The crew hugs and rests. No one is far. All are safe. Sam is brave and kind. He fixes, he shares, he laughs. He shows the crew how to be calm and strong.
They sail home slow and proud. They sing, toc-toc, la la, and hop into sleep.
Kind hearts and clever hands make every day an adventure.
