Little Mia wakes up. She is two. She sees a small toy is gone. "Oh!" she says. She is calm. She is a tiny sleuth. Toc-toc. She taps the door. "Hop," she says and smiles.
She looks in her bed. No toy. She looks in the box. No toy. She looks by the chair. No toy. She finds a small red crumb. "Look," she says. Can you see the red crumb? It is a clue. Plouf! A paw mark on the mat. Can you see the paw? It is a clue.
Mia walks slow. She hums. She says "shh" like a spy. She finds a trail of tiny bits. She points. "This way," she says. She walks with her cat. The cat goes "mew." The dog wags. The dog goes "woof." They look under the table. They look by the shoe. They look by the plant.
At the couch, Mia sees the toy. The toy is by the dog bed. The dog sits. He looks proud. Mia laughs. "Bye-bye hide," she says. She pats the dog. She hugs her toy. All is calm.
Mia claps. "Good job," she says to you. You helped. You found the clues. You helped Mia solve the soft, fun case.
Being kind and calm helps us find things.
