Little Mia is two. She likes to look. One day her red sock is gone. Mia is small, but she is a good helper. She says, "Where is my sock?" Mum smiles. "Let's find it," she says.
Mia taps the floor. She sees soft marks. A tiny trail! "Look," says Mia. She walks slow. She looks under the chair. No sock. She looks in the box. No sock. She finds a blue pencil. She puts it back.
Mia finds a fluff. She picks it up. It is a clue. She pats the cat. The cat purrs. A little paw print on the rug. "Cat!" says Mia. The cat trots. The trail goes to the sofa. Mia climbs up. She looks on the cushion. She finds something warm. A small red sock. Mia laughs.
She shows Mum. "Well done," says Mum. The cat curls on her lap. The sock is now with Mia. She puts it on her foot. She claps. "We did it," she says.
Mia gives the cat a soft hug. The house is calm and bright. All is tidy now and all is safe.
When we look and help, we find small things.
