A joyful, curious 2-year-old girl with short curly blond hair and round blue eyes reaches for a slightly shiny small red ball held by a yellow rubber duck with an orange beak floating at the edge of a small pond; a gray tabby cat with green eyes sleeps on a stump to the left, and a small white-and-brown spotted dog stands on its hind legs near the sandbox wagging its tail. The bright garden has textured green grass, red, yellow and blue flowers, a leafy tree and a light blue sky with fluffy clouds. The centered scene focuses on the girl approaching the pond with soft, friendly expressions, vivid colors, visible modeling-clay textures and warm, soft lighting. report a problem with this image

Lily is a little girl. She loves to solve mysteries. One day, she plays in the garden. "Where is my red ball?" Lily asks.

Lily looks under the bush. No ball. She looks by the tree. Still no ball. Lily sees a tiny trail. "Let's follow this trail," she says.

On the trail, Lily meets a friendly ant. "Hello, Ant!" she waves. "Have you seen my red ball?" Ant nods. "Yes, I saw it rolling away. Follow the trail!"

Lily hops along. She sees her cat, Whiskers. Whiskers is napping. "Whiskers, did you see my red ball?" Lily asks. Whiskers yawns. "Meow, it went that way, near the flowers."

Lily giggles. She hurries to the flowers. She finds a butterfly. "Hello, Butterfly. Do you know where my red ball is?" Butterfly flutters. "Fly to the sandbox. Look there!"

Lily skips to the sandbox. She sees a little dog, Spot. "Spot, did you take my red ball?" Lily wonders.

Spot barks happily. "Woof, woof! I saw it bouncing to the pond."

Lily reaches the pond. She sees her red ball floating. "There it is!" Lily cheers.

Her friend, Duck, quacks. "I found your ball, Lily. Quack, quack!"

Lily claps her hands. "Thank you, Duck. You are a good friend."

Lily picks up her red ball. She hugs it tight. Then, she sees all her friends. "Thank you, everyone!" Lily smiles big.

Lily learned one thing today. Working together is fun.

Together, they all play with the red ball. It bounces, it rolls, they laugh.

And at the end of the day, Lily knows:

Always ask friends for help.
