Tippy the teapot woke up with a tiny yawn. Plink, plink. She rattled her lid like a hat. She had two small eyes and a big smile. She loved to sing.
“Hello, cup!” she said. “Hello, spoon!” said the spoon. Tap, tap. They danced on the shelf. Hop, hop. A little sock watched and laughed. He went wobble-wobble.
Tippy wanted to pour a song. She bubbled a tune. “Tra-la-la,” she said. A crumb fell near her spout. She sneezed a puff of steam. Achoo! Pfft! The crumb went boing and landed on the spoon. The spoon giggled. Clink!
A sleepy cat came by. She rubbed the shelf and purred, purr. The cat sat on a soft towel. Tippy sang soft now. Her song was slow and warm. The room felt like a hug. Zip, zip, the clock sang too. Tick-tock, tick.
“May I sing with you?” asked the sock. “Yes,” said Tippy. They made small sounds. Plink, hop, purr, sing. The lid did a tiny waltz. The spoon twirled. No one was loud. All was kind.
Soon each friend felt calm. The sock curled. The spoon sighed. The cat blinked slow. Tippy gave one last tiny plink. Her steam made a warm mist. The light got dim. Zzz... Zzz...
Good night, friends. Sleep with a smile.
Kind hearts make warm beds.
