Three children, about five years old: Max, a short brown-haired boy in red-and-white striped pajamas wearing a sock on his right hand, sitting left on the bed laughing and showing his "sock-hand"; Lila, a black-haired girl in pigtails wearing a pink dress with a teddy print, seated center holding a beige teddy upside down and looking at it; and Sam, a blonde curly-haired boy in light blue pajamas with a small blue pillow worn like a hat, seated right laughing at Max and Lila; they are in a cozy bedroom with a large white bed and cream fluffy blanket, pastel lavender walls with painted stars, a moon nightlight on the left bedside table, a beige faux-fur round rug at the foot of the bed and scattered clothes and socks, in a warm, dimly lit, playful bedtime scene with exaggerated gestures, big happy eyes, an upside-down teddy and silly sock-wearing. report a problem with this image

One quiet evening, three little friends, Max, Lila, and Sam, were getting ready for bed. Max wore his red pajamas. Lila had her cuddly bear. Sam hugged his tiny blue pillow. They all smiled and snuggled on the big, soft bed.

Max tried to put on his sock, but it went on his hand! “Look! I have a sock hand!” said Max. Lila giggled. She put her sock on her ear. “Hello, sock ear!” said Lila. Sam wanted to be funny too. He put his tiny pillow on his head. “I have a pillow hat!” laughed Sam. They all laughed and wiggled their toes.

Suddenly, Lila's bear disappeared. “Oh no! Where is Bear?” she asked. Max looked in his pocket. There was Bear, peeking out! “Bear is playing hide and seek!” said Max. Lila gave Bear a gentle hug. “Silly Bear,” she said.

Then, Max found his sock on Sam's foot. “Sam, you have my sock!” Max said. “Oops!” said Sam. “It is a Max sock!” They swapped socks and clapped their hands.

Next, Lila tried to tuck in her bear, but Bear was upside down! “Bear likes to see the stars,” said Lila. Max and Sam turned their pillows upside down too. “Night-night, pillows!” they whispered.

The room was soft and warm. The little friends yawned. Their silly socks and upside-down bears made them smile. They closed their eyes, feeling safe and happy.

It is always nice to share giggles and cuddles before sleep.
