Milly is a little girl with big, round eyes. One morning, Milly finds a letter under her pillow. The letter is pink and smells like strawberries. Milly cannot read, but there is a picture of a funny hat and a smiling moon. There are wiggly lines that look like dancing worms.
Milly shows the letter to her bunny, Mr. Fluffy. "What is this?" Milly asks. Mr. Fluffy does not know, but he gives Milly a big, soft hug.
Suddenly, Milly's sock says, “Let's go see!”
Milly laughs. “Socks don't talk!” But the sock wiggles on her foot. “Let's go to the Silly Pillow Party!” says the sock.
Milly puts on both socks. “Let's go!” she says. She tiptoes out of bed. The floor says, “Boing! Boing!” Milly giggles and hops.
She finds her sleepy teddy. “Do you want to come?” Milly asks.
Teddy says, “Yes, please!” and falls right off the shelf. “Oops!” says Teddy. “Let's roll!” So, Milly rolls like a sausage, giggling, giggling, all the way to the living room.
The pillows are all stacked high, like a mountain. One pillow shouts, “Welcome, Milly!” Milly claps her hands. Her pillow makes a silly face.
“Let's have a jump!” says the biggest pillow.
Milly jumps! Boing! Boing! Teddy jumps! Boing! Mr. Fluffy jumps! Boing! Sock jumps! Boing-boing!
Suddenly, a feather flies up Milly's nose. “Achoo!” she sneezes. Feathers float everywhere. Milly tries to catch the feathers, but they tickle her toes.
Milly sits on the mountain of pillows. “I love the Silly Pillow Party,” she says.
The moon peeks in the window. “Time for sleep, little girl,” whispers the moon.
Milly yawns. Teddy yawns. Mr. Fluffy yawns. Even the silly sock yawns.
“Goodnight, everyone,” Milly says.
The pillows sigh, “Goodnight, Milly.”
Milly smiles, her eyes closing, and dreams of jumping pillows and dancing socks.
