Lily was a tiny girl, just two years old. One sunny afternoon, she found something funny in her house. It was a purple sock! But this was no ordinary sock. It wiggled and jiggled!
“Hello, silly sock!” Lily giggled.
“Hello, Lily!” the sock wobbled back.
Lily's eyes got big. “You can talk?”
“Yes, I can! I am Super Sock!” it boomed, doing a little dance on the floor. The sock flipped and flopped, making Lily laugh even harder.
“Let's go on an adventure!” said Lily, bouncing up and down.
“Okay!” said Super Sock. “Let's bounce to the moon!”
So, they both bounced high. Up, up, up! “We are flying!” yelled Lily, her arms wide open. But just as they reached the moon, Super Sock slipped on a star and went SLIP-POP!
“Oh no!” shouted Lily. “Are you okay?”
“I'm fine!” laughed Super Sock, spinning in the air. “But now I'm a star sock!”
Lily clapped her hands. “Yay! A star sock!”
Then, they bounced down, down, down, landing softly on a fluffy cloud. “Look at all the candy!” Lily squealed. There were blue gummy bears and pink cotton candy everywhere!
“Let's eat!” shouted Super Sock, diving into the candy.
Lily giggled. “You look like a candy sock now!”
But just then, a big wind blew. Whoosh! The candy flew everywhere! “Oh no!” cried Lily.
“Don't worry!” said Super Sock, blowing the candy back. “We can catch it!” So, they caught the candy, popping it into their mouths. “Yum!” they both said together.
After their candy feast, they were sleepy. “Let's go home!” yawned Lily.
“Yes, let's!” said Super Sock, snuggling up in Lily's arms.
As they settled down, Lily whispered, “Goodnight, Super Sock.”
“Goodnight, Lily,” the sock replied, closing its tiny eyes.
And off to dreamland they went, floating on fluffy clouds of candy and laughter.
