In a bright, cheerful little town, there lived a happy boy named Leo. Leo was turning two years old today! He woke up and looked around. “Where's the party?” he wondered. He felt a little worried. “Maybe no one remembers my birthday,” he said with a tiny frown.
Just then, Leo heard a knock at the door. “Knock, knock!” It was his best friends, Max and Oliver. They smiled big smiles. “Happy birthday, Leo!” they shouted.
Leo's eyes sparkled with joy. “You remember!” he giggled. “But where's the party?”
Max grinned. “We have a surprise for you!”
Oliver jumped up and down. “Let's go outside!”
Outside, the sun was shining bright, and colorful balloons floated everywhere. “Wow!” said Leo, his eyes wide. “Look at all the balloons!”
“Look at the cake!” Max pointed to a big, yummy cake with two candles. “It's for you, Leo!”
“Cake! Yum!” Leo clapped his hands. “I love cake!”
And then, Leo saw something amazing. All their neighbors were there, too! Mrs. Baker waved from her garden. “Happy birthday, Leo!” she called. Mr. Jones was juggling oranges. “Catch!” he shouted, tossing one to Leo. Leo giggled as he caught it.
“Thank you, everyone!” Leo said, feeling so happy. “This is the best birthday ever!”
Max and Oliver cheered. “Let's sing!” They all sang loudly, “Happy birthday to you!” Leo laughed and laughed.
Then it was time for the cake. Leo closed his eyes and made a wish. “I wish for a big birthday hug!” he whispered.
“Blow out the candles!” Max shouted. Leo took a big breath and blew them out. Pfffft!
Everyone cheered, and Leo felt warm inside. “Thank you for the best surprise!” he said, smiling at his friends.
They all hugged Leo tightly. “We love you, Leo!” they said.
Leo giggled. “I love you too! Let's eat cake!” And they did.
With every bite, Leo felt the joy of friendship, surprises, and love. It was a magical birthday, full of laughter and happiness. And Leo knew, he was never alone.
