Bobby and Max wake up with big smiles. Today is a happy day—Bobby's birthday! The sun peeks in, “Hello!” chirp the birds. “Hooray!” says Max. “Let's get ready!” Bobby claps, “Yay!”
In the kitchen, they see a big bowl. “Mix, mix!” says Bobby. Max helps. They pour flour. Puff! It tickles their noses. “Achoo!” giggles Max. They crack eggs. Plop! Eggs go in. “Stir, stir!” sings Bobby. The bowl spins. Swish, swish!
Now they find hats. Bobby wears a blue one. Max picks a green. “Hat!” laughs Bobby. “Hat!” says Max. They blow up balloons. Whoosh! Whoosh! Red, yellow, blue. The room is bright and happy.
Ding-dong! Someone's at the door. It's Nana and Grandpa! “Surprise!” they say. Bobby claps. Max jumps. Hop, hop! Nana brings a soft bear. Grandpa brings a tiny drum. Tum-tum-tum! They all laugh.
Time for cake! Mama lights the candle. Flick! The flame dances. “Make a wish,” says Mama. Bobby closes his eyes. Whoosh! He blows. Everyone cheers, “Yay!”
They eat cake. Yum! Max gets a little messy. “Oops!” he says. Bobby giggles. They share their cake. Nana has a piece. Grandpa too. Even Teddy gets a crumb. “Thank you!” says Bobby. “Happy birthday!” shouts Max.
Toys, hugs, and silly songs fill the room. Mama and Papa dance. Nana claps. Grandpa sings, “La la la!” Bobby and Max twirl. Spin, spin!
At the end, Bobby cuddles close. Max yawns. “Best birthday,” whispers Bobby.
