Today is a bright, happy day. Four little boys, Max, Leo, Tom, and Sam, are busy in the playroom. Balloons bounce. Ribbons twirl. Toys are in a big, happy pile. Max claps his hands. “Birthday! Birthday!” he says. Leo laughs and shakes a small bell.
Tom finds a big, round hat. He puts it on Sam's head. Sam giggles and the hat slides over his eyes. “Peekaboo!” Sam says. Everyone laughs.
Leo has a shiny spoon. He taps a gentle song on the table. Max claps along. Tom shakes a little drum. Sam waves his arms and dances around. The room feels bright and warm.
Suddenly, Leo points. “Cake!” he says. On the table, there is a tiny cake with candles. The boys cheer. "Hooray!" They all blow together. Puff! The candles go out. The soft smoke twirls up, and the boys clap.
Tom gives a box to Max. Inside, there are four toy cars. Each boy takes one. They roll them on the floor, making happy vroom-vroom sounds. No one wants to race, they just like to play side by side.
The grown-ups clap and smile. “Happy birthday, everyone!” they say. The room is full of cheers and hugs.
It is nice to share smiles and play together with friends.
