Forest Party

Finn the little fox had a small bag of confetti. He held it close. The bag was soft and bright. Finn wanted to hold it all night.

The forest friends came to the clearing. Mia the rabbit brought a hat. Old Owl brought a bell. Hedge the hedgehog brought warm cocoa. They all smiled. They all looked tidy and kind.

"May I hold the bag?" Finn asked. His tail swished with hope.

"Would you like a turn?" Mia said. She bowed a little. That made Finn feel happy and respectful.

They had a gentle ritual. They rang the bell once. They whispered a wish. They tied a ribbon on a twig. Each friend took a turn. Finn waited. He counted the stars. One, two, three. He breathed slow. He smiled.

Finn learned to ask. He learned to say, "Please" and "Thank you." He learned to share. He learned to help when Hedge dropped a cup. He picked it up. "Thank you," Hedge said with a tiny sneeze. They all laughed softly.

The sky did a small twinkle. Little lanterns floated up. They were like sleepy stars. No loud sounds. Just soft light. The confetti bag jingled when Finn walked. He loved the sound.

A Quiet New Year

When the bell rang again, it was almost time. Friends gathered close. Finn held the bag. He felt warm. He felt proud.

"May we throw the confetti together?" Finn asked. His voice was small and brave.

"Yes," said Old Owl. "We will count together."

They counted slow. Ten, nine, eight. They held hands. They felt safe. Three, two, one! They tossed the confetti up. It floated like tiny leaves. It shined like small suns. Little pieces landed on noses and whiskers. Everyone clapped softly.

After the toss, Finn hugged the bag once. He looked at each friend. "Thank you," he said. "Thank you for the turn." Friends smiled back. They bowed to each other with warm eyes. They showed respect with gentle nods.

The clearing grew calm. The lanterns drifted down. Friends curled up on soft moss. Finn put the bag by his side. He felt sleepy and good. Mia hummed a little tune. Hedge made soft sipping sounds. Owl watched the stars and blinked slow.

Finn closed his eyes. He thought of wishes and of kind words. He thought of holding the bag and sharing the joy. The new year felt like a quiet hug.

All was calm. All was kind. The forest slept with happy hearts.
