One night, in a cozy little forest, lived Benny the Bunny. Benny loved to play all day long. He jumped and hopped with his friends. But when the sun went down, Benny felt scared.

“Why is it dark?” Benny whispered. “I don't like the dark.”

Benny's friend, Lily the Ladybug, came to visit. “Don't be afraid, Benny,” she said softly. “Look! I have a tiny flashlight.”

Benny's eyes got big. “A flashlight? What does it do?”

“It shines bright!” said Lily. She turned on the flashlight. The light made funny shapes on the leaves. “See? It's fun!”

Benny smiled. “Can I try?”

“Of course!” said Lily. Benny turned on the flashlight. The light danced all around. Benny giggled. “The dark isn't so scary now!”

Later, Benny's mom came to tuck him in. “Benny, would you like a nightlight?” she asked.

“Yes, please!” said Benny.

His mom put a soft, warm nightlight on his bedside. It glowed gently. “Look, Benny,” she said. “It will keep you safe.”

Benny felt happy. “Thank you, Mommy!” he said.

That night, Benny snuggled in bed. The nightlight shone bright. He thought of his friends and his fun day.

“I'm not scared anymore,” he whispered.

With a yawn, Benny closed his eyes. He dreamed of jumping in the sunshine.

The dark wasn't scary at all. With his flashlight and nightlight, Benny felt safe and happy. “Goodnight, dark!” he said with a smile.

And Benny slept soundly, knowing he was never alone.
