Bear woke up with a big smile. It was his birthday! "Hooray!" he cheered. "I wish for a magical day!" He hugged his teddy and jumped out of bed.
Today was special. Bear was going to the zoo! "Zoo, zoo, zoo!" he sang, twirling around. Mama Bear and Papa Bear packed a picnic. "Yummy!" said Bear, sniffing the sandwiches.
At the zoo, Bear's eyes were big and round. "Look, a giraffe!" he pointed. The giraffe bent down and winked. "Hello, Bear!" it said. Bear giggled. "Oh, magical!" he whispered.
They walked to the elephant. "Happy Birthday, Bear!" trumpeted the elephant. Bear clapped his paws. "Thank you, Mr. Elephant!" he said.
Bear saw monkeys swinging. "Swing, swing, swing!" he laughed. One monkey gave Bear a banana. "For you!" said the monkey. Bear took it. "Yummy, thank you!"
At lunchtime, they sat by the pond. Ducks waddled over. "Quack, quack, Happy Birthday, Bear!" they quacked. Bear waved. "Hello, ducks!"
Bear's friends came too! Bunny, Fox, and Squirrel. "Surprise!" they shouted. "Happy Birthday, Bear!" Bear was so happy. "Thank you, thank you!" he said, hugging them.
They played games and ran around. Bear's heart was full of joy. "Best birthday ever!" he said.
As the sun began to set, Mama Bear lit a candle on a cupcake. Bear closed his eyes. "I wish for more magical days," he said softly. He blew out the candle. "Puff!"
"Time to go home," said Papa Bear. Bear yawned and nodded. "Thank you, zoo friends," he waved as they left.
Back home, Bear snuggled into bed. "Mama, Papa, today was magical," he said sleepily. "Yes, it was," Mama Bear smiled. "Goodnight, Bear. Sweet dreams."
"Goodnight," Bear whispered, closing his eyes. His heart was warm and happy. His birthday wish had come true.
