Sally, Lucy, and Mia loved autumn. The leaves turned orange and red. "Look at the leaves!" said Sally. "They are pretty!"
Lucy smiled, "Yes! Let's collect some!" They all went outside. Mia rolled her wheelchair on the grass. "I can help!" she said.
Sally picked a big leaf. "Look!" she shouted. "This one is the biggest!" Lucy found a small leaf. "And this one is the smallest!" They giggled.
"Let's make a leaf pile!" said Mia. They gathered leaves. They laughed and tossed them into the air. "Whee!" shouted Lucy. The leaves danced in the wind.
After, they went back inside. The air was cool. "Let's make hot cocoa!" said Sally. “Yum!” said Lucy.
Mia helped on the table. "I like hot cocoa," she said. They all poured the warm cocoa into cups. “Cheers!” they said, clinking their cups.
With cocoa in hand, they looked out the window. The garden was full of colors. "Look at the pumpkins!" said Mia. "They are orange like the leaves!"
"Let's decorate!" said Sally. They all got paper and crayons. They drew pumpkins and leaves. “This is fun!” said Lucy.
Mia said, "We can put them on the window!" They taped their drawings on the glass. The sunlight made the colors shine.
Later, they helped in the garden. "Time to plant!" said Sally. They planted seeds for next spring. "They will grow!" said Lucy. “Yes!” said Mia, clapping her hands.
They worked together. Each girl helped in her own way. "Teamwork is fun!" said Mia. They all smiled big smiles.
As the day ended, they sat around the table. "I love autumn," said Lucy. "Me too!" said Sally. "It's warm and bright!" said Mia.
They shared stories and laughter. The home felt cozy. “Autumn is special,” they said together.
And as the leaves fell outside, they knew their hearts were warm, just like their cocoa.
