Little Fox woke up one morning. The leaves were red, yellow, and orange. "It's autumn!" said Little Fox. He sniffed the cool air. "I love autumn!"
Little Fox ran to the garden. There were pumpkins, apples, and corn. "Yummy!" said Little Fox. He wanted to make something special.
"Hello, Squirrel!" said Little Fox. "Do you want to help me cook?"
"Yes, yes!" said Squirrel. "I love cooking!"
Little Fox and Squirrel picked apples. They put them in a basket. "Apples are crunchy," said Little Fox. "And sweet," said Squirrel.
Next, they gathered corn. "Corn is yellow," said Little Fox. "And tasty," said Squirrel.
Then, they found a big pumpkin. "Pumpkin is orange," said Little Fox. "And fun to carve!" said Squirrel.
Back at the house, Mama Fox was waiting. "Hello, Little Fox! Hello, Squirrel!" she said with a smile. "What do we have here?"
"Apples, corn, and a pumpkin!" said Little Fox. "Let's cook!"
Mama Fox showed them how to bake apple pie. "Mix, mix!" said Mama Fox. "Stir, stir!" said Little Fox. The pie smelled so good!
They boiled the corn. "Pop, pop!" went the kernels. "Hot and yummy!" said Squirrel.
Finally, they carved the pumpkin. "Scoop, scoop!" said Mama Fox. "Look, a funny face!" said Little Fox.
The family sat together. They ate the pie and corn. The pumpkin glowed bright. "Autumn is fun," said Little Fox. "And tasty!" said Squirrel.
Mama Fox hugged Little Fox and Squirrel. "Autumn is special because we are together," she said.
Little Fox smiled. "Yes, Mama. I love autumn with you."
