A 2-year-old boy with a round face, rosy cheeks and large moist eyes, initially fearful then reassured, holds a beige teddy close while sitting on a bed with colorful covers; his mother (about 30, chestnut hair in a bun) kneels to his right, smiling gently and pointing at shadows—a cat-shaped shadow and a chair shadow—comforting him. A small teddy with felt eyes sits on the bed as if listening. A warm round nightlight on the left bedside table casts soft long shadows. The small, cozy room has midnight-blue walls with painted stars, a paper moon, a wooden shelf with colorful books and a wooden chair in the background. The mood is tranquil and soothing with warm colors around the bed and soft blues elsewhere. Visual style: clay-model look with molded textures, visible seams, soft lighting, rounded compositions and simple shapes. report a problem with this image

"Tommy and the Dark"

One night, Tommy was in his room. The moon shone bright. The stars twinkled. But the room was dark. Tommy felt scared.

“Mommy!” Tommy called.

His mommy came in. “What's wrong, Tommy?” she asked.

“I see shadows. They are big and scary!” Tommy said, hiding under his blanket.

Mommy smiled. “Shadows are just shapes. They can't hurt you. Let's look together.”

Tommy peeked out. “Okay,” he whispered.

Mommy turned on the nightlight. “See? It's not so dark now,” she said.

Tommy smiled a little. “Yes, but what about the shadows?”

Mommy pointed. “Look! That shadow is a cat. And that one is a chair.”

Tommy giggled. “The cat looks funny!”

“Yes, it does!” said Mommy. “Shadows just play tricks. They are not scary.”

Tommy felt brave. “Can we tell a story?” he asked.

“Of course!” Mommy said. “Once upon a time, there was a brave little teddy bear. He was not afraid of the dark.”

Tommy listened closely. “What did he do?”

Mommy continued, “He went on adventures! He found a star shining in the sky. The star said, ‘Hello, Teddy! Don't be scared!'”

Tommy's eyes grew wide. “The star talked?”

“Yes! The star was friendly,” Mommy said. “It showed Teddy how beautiful the night was.”

Tommy smiled. “I want to see the stars too!”

Mommy kissed his forehead. “You can, Tommy. The dark can be nice.”

Tommy nodded. “I'm not scared anymore!”

“Goodnight, my brave boy,” Mommy said, turning off the nightlight.

“Goodnight, Mommy!” Tommy whispered, feeling safe and happy.
