“Today is my birthday!” shouted Max, a cheerful little boy with bright blue eyes and a big smile. He bounced on his tiny feet, excited to celebrate. “Cake! Balloons! Fun!”
His friend Lucy, a fluffy little puppy with a wagging tail, barked happily. “Woof! Woof! Birthday fun!”
Max giggled. “Lucy, do you want to help me?”
“Woof!” said Lucy, ready to help.
Max ran to the kitchen. “Look, Lucy! A big cake!” The cake was chocolate, with colorful sprinkles on top. Max clapped his hands. “Yummy!”
Just then, Max's friend Timmy, a silly monkey with a little hat, swung in from the tree outside. “Happy birthday, Max!” he cheered. “I brought a surprise!”
“A surprise? What is it?” Max asked, bouncing with joy.
Timmy opened his tiny bag and pulled out a bunch of balloons. “Look! Balloons!”
Max's eyes went wide. “Wow! Let's play!”
They all ran outside. Max held a balloon. “Whoosh!” He let it go, and it floated up, up, up!
“Come back, balloon!” shouted Lucy, barking excitedly.
Timmy laughed. “It's flying away! Bye-bye, balloon!”
Max laughed too. “More balloons, please!”
They played and danced under the sun. “Best birthday ever!” shouted Max.
With cake, balloons, and friends, Max's birthday was full of joy. “Happy birthday to me!” he cheered, and everyone echoed, “Happy birthday, Max!”
