Lily looked out of the window. "Mommy! Look! Leaves!" she said, pointing with her tiny finger.
"Yes, sweetie," Mommy smiled. "The leaves are changing. It's autumn!"
Lily clapped her hands. "Autumn! Yay!"
Mommy took Lily's hand. "Let's go outside." They walked to the park.
The air was cool. Lily felt the breeze. "Brr! Cold!" she giggled.
Mommy laughed. "Let's find some leaves!"
Lily looked down. “Look, Mommy! A red leaf!”
"Good job, Lily!" said Mommy. "Put it in your pocket!"
Lily put the red leaf in her pocket. “More! More!” she cheered.
They walked and saw a golden leaf. "Wow!" said Lily. "So pretty!"
"Yes, it is," Mommy replied. "Let's keep it too."
Lily jumped. “I love autumn!”
They found a big brown leaf. "Look at this one!" she shouted, holding it high.
"It's big!" Mommy said, smiling. "You have a leaf collection now!"
Lily giggled. “My leaves! Red, gold, brown!”
As they walked back, the sun shone. Lily looked at her leaves. "Autumn is fun!"
"Yes, it is," Mommy said, hugging her tight. "Nature is beautiful."
Lily nodded. "More leaves next time!"
"Yes, more!" Mommy agreed.
They went inside, happy and warm.
Lily shouted, "Autumn is my favorite!"
