Benji was one year old. He had chubby cheeks and a giggly laugh. Benji had a big sister named Lila. Lila was three. They lived in a cozy house with lots of soft pillows and funny socks.
One sunny morning, Benji rolled his toy bus across the carpet. “Vroom vroom!” he said. Lila came running with her blue teddy. “Race time!” she cheered.
Benji clapped. “Go bus, go!”
Benji's bus bumped into Lila's teddy. “Bop!” said the teddy. “Oops!” Lila giggled. “Silly bus!”
Benji laughed. He took the teddy and hugged it. “Soft!” he said. Lila squeaked, “That's my teddy!” Benji blinked. He handed it back. “Share!” he chirped.
Suddenly, the teddy went for a ride on the bus. “Zoom!” Lila cheered. Benji made silly bus noises. “Beep beep! Brrrm brrrm!”
But then—plop! The teddy tumbled off the bus, right onto Benji's head. Lila and Benji stared. Then Lila burst out laughing. “Teddy hat!” she shouted.
Benji giggled too. “Hat, hat!” he sang. They both wore teddy hats and did a teddy dance. “Wiggle wiggle!” Benji shouted. “Teddy party!” Lila sang.
Mummy peeked in. “What's so funny?” Benji and Lila pointed at their teddy hats. “Very nice hats!” said Mummy, laughing.
They laughed and danced until their tummies rumbled. Time for snacks!
When you share and play, even a small mix-up can become a silly game—together is always more fun.
