A joyful 2-year-old girl with curly brown hair sits center in a yellow dress with red polka dots and striped socks, hugging a long-eared white rabbit, while a round-nosed male clown (~30) on the left offers popcorn, a female clown (~25) in a purple top hat juggles three colorful balls behind her, a large gray elephant named Ellie on the right blows soap bubbles, three gray mice pedal a tiny red bike in the foreground, and the red-and-white circus tent with a polished wooden floor, banners, balloons and confetti is lit by warm, soft light. report a problem with this image

Today is circus day! Rosie, a little girl with bouncy brown curls, steps inside the big red tent. Balloons float everywhere. The music goes “ta-da-da!” and makes Rosie giggle.

Behind the curtain, Rosie peeks at funny clowns. One clown puts on a big red nose. “Boop!” goes the nose. Another clown wears shoes so big, he walks and—oops!—trips on a banana peel. “Whoopsie!” laughs Rosie. The clown laughs too. “Silly me!” he says.

Rosie sees elephants wearing sparkly hats. “Hello, Ellie!” says Rosie. Ellie the elephant picks up a feather with her trunk and tickles Rosie. “Heehee!” Rosie giggles. “That tickles!”

Now, it is time for the magic tricks. A magician pulls out a big blue hat. “What is inside?” asks Rosie. “Let's see!” says the magician. Out jumps a cuddly bunny! The bunny wiggles his pink nose. “Boo!” Rosie says softly. The bunny sniffs, then hops right onto Rosie's lap. Rosie hugs the bunny.

Next, the circus mice roll out a tiny bicycle. The mice climb on. “Ready, set, go!” shouts Rosie. Round and round they go. Wheels spin, tails wiggle, mice giggle. Everyone claps!

Suddenly, a popcorn bucket spills. Popcorn pitter-patters everywhere. Rosie picks some up. “Pop, pop, pop!” she laughs. The clowns start tossing popcorn in the air, catching it with silly faces. Rosie throws one up—catch! “Yay!” she cheers.

A silly parade begins. Lions wear party hats. The clowns juggle oranges. Ellie blows bubbles. Rosie marches along, waving and laughing.

At the end, Rosie feels happy. The circus is magical—so much fun with new friends.

Little joys and kind friends make every day bright!
