Mia, Ben, Lila, and Tom walk into a big, big tent.

Red stripes on top. Lots of lights. Big, round stage.

They hold hands. They smile.

“Oooh!” says Lila.

“Wow!” says Ben.

They see funny hats. They see shiny shoes.

Suddenly, a silly clown jumps in front!

He has a big red nose. He has bright yellow hair.

“Honk, honk!” says the clown.

The children giggle.

“Would you like to try a circus trick?” asks the clown.

Mia nods. Ben claps.

Lila and Tom jump up and down.

The clown gives them big, wobbly shoes.

“Let's walk silly!” says the clown.

Mia tries.

Step. Wobble. Stomp.

“Oh!” she laughs.

Ben falls on his bottom.

Tom spins round and round.

Lila says, “Look at me!”

She walks backwards.

Everyone laughs.

Next, the clown gives them colorful scarves.

“Wave, wave, wave!” says the clown.

The scarves fly up!

Red, blue, yellow, green.

Mia tosses her scarf high.

It lands on her head.

Peek-a-boo!

Ben's scarf lands on Tom's nose.

Tom giggles and says, “I'm a silly elephant!”

Lila ties her scarf around her waist.

She twirls and twirls.

Then the clown brings tiny hats.

“Hat parade!” says the clown.

The children march around.

Step-step, clap-clap.

Hats fall off.

Hats roll away.

More giggles.

“Who wants to be in the show?” asks the clown.

“Yes!” shout Mia, Ben, Lila, and Tom.

They stand in a line.

They wave.

The lights shine bright.

Parents clap.

“Hooray!” say the children.

Everyone is happy.

The circus magic is everywhere.

Mia grins, “I love the circus!”

Her friends cheer, “Me too!”

The clown honks his nose one last time.

Honk, honk!

Time to wave goodbye.

Four happy children.

One silly clown.

And a circus full of giggles.
