A small black-and-white penguin with a tiny red hat and a sparkling wand, smiling with wide surprised eyes, stands center ring producing a long colorful scarf; a bright green parrot with shiny feathers uses the scarf as an improvised cape, perched on an invisible character's shoulder behind the penguin, looking surprised and joyful; a black-and-white striped zebra wearing juggling glasses taps its hooves as red balls bounce around to the penguin's left; a gray seal with a small blue bow tie laughs with an open mouth, seated to the penguin's right with a red ball on its belly; a white assistant rabbit holds a large open brown box in the background, curious; the big red-and-white striped big top has warm hanging lights, golden curtains and multicolored confetti on the ground; the main scene is a joyful, slightly chaotic moment as the scarf flies out of the hat, wraps the balls, creating a funny, tender instant in the center ring. report a problem with this image

Pip the penguin waddled into the circus tent. The lights went blink-blink. The band went “ta-da-da!”

Backstage was busy-busy. A zebra juggled red balls. “Hop! Hop!” A seal in a bow tie clapped. “Clap-clap!”

Pip had a tiny hat and a shiny wand. “I do magic,” Pip said.

A bunny helper rolled in a big box. “Toc-toc,” said the box. Pip blinked. “Who is in there?”

“Me!” said a parrot, peeking out. “I got lost. Ooooh!”

Pip giggled. “No worry. Come with me.”

On the ring, the drum went “dum-dum-dum.” Pip stood tall. “Hello, friends!” Pip said.

Pip waved the wand. “Swish-swish!” A scarf popped out. “Pop!” Then another scarf. “Pop!” Then a long, long scarf. “Ooooh!”

The parrot flapped and sneezed. “Achoo!” The long scarf flew up and wrapped the zebra's juggling balls.

“Boing!” The balls bounced. “Plop!” One landed in the seal's bow tie. The seal looked down and laughed. “Hahaha!”

The zebra did a quick dance. “Tap-tap!” The parrot wore the scarf like a cape. “I am Super Parrot!” it said.

Pip bowed. “Ta-da!” The animals cheered. “Yay! Yay!”

Backstage again, Pip shared fish snacks. “Mmm!” The parrot nodded. “Thanks, Pip,” it said. “You fixed my lost box.”

Pip winked. “In the circus, silly bits can be magic too.”

Moral: When you stay kind and calm, little oops moments can turn into big laughs.
