Little Mia was at the Christmas market. The lights were bright. The air was cold. Mia saw big, shiny trees. She saw red, green, and gold. Mia giggled. "Pretty lights," she said.
Mia held Mommy's hand. But so many people! Mia saw a big teddy bear. She let go of Mommy's hand. She wanted to see the teddy bear. The teddy bear was soft and brown. Mia hugged it. "Warm bear," she said.
Mia looked around. Where was Mommy? So many people! Mia felt little. She felt lost. But Mia was brave. She saw a jolly man. He wore a red hat. "Ho ho ho!" he said. It was Santa!
Santa smiled. "Hello, little one. Where is your mommy?" he asked. Mia pointed. "Lights," she said. Santa nodded. "Let's find Mommy."
They walked past the sweets. Mia saw candies. "Yummy," she said. Santa laughed. "Sweet candies."
They passed the music. "Jingle bells," Mia sang. Santa clapped. "Good singing!"
Mia spotted Mommy! Mommy looked worried. "Mia!" she said. Mia ran to her. "Found!" she said, hugging Mommy tight.
Mommy smiled. "Thank you, Santa!" she said. Santa winked. "Merry Christmas!"
Mia was happy. She had Mommy. She had Santa. She loved Christmas. "Happy Christmas," she giggled. And the lights twinkled, bright and warm.
