Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Max. Max loved to play outside. One sunny day, Max went to the park with his mom. In the park, there was a big, green forest. Max and his mom walked into the forest.
"Look, Max," said Mom. "Trees are big and strong. They help us breathe."
Max looked up. "Wow! Big trees!" he said.
Max saw a bird. "Tweet, tweet," went the bird. "Hello, bird!" said Max. The bird flew to a tree.
"Birds like trees," said Mom. "Trees are their home."
Max and Mom walked more. They saw a little pond. "Look, Max," said Mom. "Fish swim in the pond."
"Fish!" said Max. "Hello, fish!"
"Fish need clean water," said Mom. "We must keep water clean."
Max saw a can on the ground. "Oh no," said Max. "Litter!"
"Litter is not good," said Mom. "We can pick it up."
Max picked up the can and put it in the trash. "Good job, Max!" said Mom.
Max smiled. He felt happy. He helped the forest. "Happy forest," said Max.
Max and Mom walked home. "We can help every day," said Mom. "We can save water. We can plant trees. We can pick up litter."
"Yes, Mom," said Max. "Help trees. Help birds. Help fish."
Max learned. Max was happy. The forest was happy too. Max knew he could make a difference. Max was a hero for the forest.
And every day, Max and his mom helped. They loved the forest. The forest loved them back. The end.
