“Hello! Hello!” said Marley the little dog. “I am a brave dog! I can find the golden bone!”
“Woof, woof!” said Bird. “Do you see the golden bone, Marley?”
“I am looking, Bird,” said Marley. “Come with me! Let us look together.”
Step, step, step. Marley walks on the soft, green grass. “Do you hear the wind, Bird? It sings a song. I am brave. I will find the golden bone!”
Tweet, tweet, said Bird. “Look under the big tree, Marley!”
Marley looks under the big tree. “No golden bone, Bird. But I see a shiny leaf!”
“Try the tiny hill!” said Bird.
Step, step, step. Up, up, up. Marley climbs the hill. “No bone. But I see the bright sun. It makes me smile, Bird.”
“Try the magic pond!” said Bird.
Step, step, splash! Marley looks in the pond. “No bone. But I see my friend, Bird. That is very good.”
Bird sings, “You are brave! You are kind! That is the magic, Marley!”
Marley wags his tail. “Yes! Adventure is fun with friends. The golden bone is not always gold. Sometimes, it is love.”
