A small reindeer wakes in a soft wood. He shakes his fur. "Hop!" he says. Little birds sing. "Tic-tic," they sing. The reindeer is bright and kind. He wants a friend.
He walks on a soft path. He taps a log. "Toc-toc!" A tiny fox peeks out. The fox is shy. The reindeer smiles. "Come play," he says. The fox nods. They run. "Hop, hop!" They laugh.
They meet a frog by a pond. The frog goes "plop!" The reindeer bends low. He helps the frog on a leaf. The frog croaks a song. The frog is glad. The fox claps. All three skip stones on the pond. "Splish, splash," go the stones.
A small owl sees them. The owl is wise. He lands soft. "Whoo," he says. He tells a calm tale of sun and moon. The friends sit close. They share warm food. No one is sad. If a shoe falls in mud, the reindeer cleans it with soft leaves. All is fixed. They smile and sing.
When night comes, stars blink like small lamps. The friends cuddle in a pile of moss. The reindeer hums. "La la," he hums. They sleep safe and warm. In the dawn they wake and play once more.
Kind hearts make brave friends and gentle hands make safe days.
