In a bright, sunny jungle lived Ellie, the little elephant. Ellie was gray and gentle, with big floppy ears and a tiny tail that wiggled when she was happy. Every morning, Ellie would wander through the jungle, where the flowers danced and the trees whispered secrets.
One day, Ellie saw her friend, Benny the bluebird. Benny was flapping his wings, looking worried. “What's wrong, Benny?” Ellie asked.
“Oh, Ellie,” chirped Benny, “I've lost my favorite nest! The wind blew it away!”
Ellie thought for a moment. “Don't worry, Benny. We will find it together.”
Together, Ellie and Benny searched high and low. They walked past the bubbly brook, where the fish swam in circles, and through the tall, swaying grass. “Here, nesty nest!” Ellie called softly.
They met Lily the lion cub, who was playing with a ball of leaves. “Have you seen Benny's nest?” Ellie asked.
Lily shook her furry head. “No, but I will help you look.”
Now, they were three. As they wandered further, they saw Timmy the turtle near a puddle of sparkly rain. “Timmy, have you seen a nest?” Benny asked.
Timmy blinked slowly. “No, but I will help,” he said with a smile.
So, Ellie, Benny, Lily, and Timmy looked together. They found a tree with a nest way up high. “Oh, that's my nest!” Benny chirped happily.
But the tree was too tall for Benny to reach. So, Ellie thought of a plan. “Climb on my back, Benny,” she said kindly.
Benny fluttered onto Ellie's back, and Lily helped push Benny up, and Timmy gave a gentle nudge. With everyone's help, Benny reached his nest. “Hooray!” they all cheered.
Benny was so happy. “Thank you, friends,” Benny said. “You are the best!”
Ellie smiled, her heart full of joy. Together, they had found the nest. And Ellie knew, when friends help each other, everything is okay.
