It was a sunny day. The birds were singing. It was Easter!
Lily, Mia, and Zoe were excited. "Let's have an egg hunt!" said Lily. "Yes! Let's decorate!" said Mia. "I love colors!" squeaked Zoe.
They ran to the kitchen. They found bright paints and big eggs. "Red, blue, and yellow!" shouted Mia. They painted the eggs with happy faces. "Look at my egg!" said Lily. "It's a silly smile!"
"Mine has stripes!" giggled Zoe.
Next, they went outside. The grass was green and soft. "Where can we hide the eggs?" asked Mia. "Behind the tree!" said Lily. "In the flower bed!" suggested Zoe.
They hid the eggs. They giggled and ran back inside. "Ready, set, go!" shouted Lily.
They dashed outside. "I found one!" Mia cheered. "Look at my egg!"
Zoe smiled, "I see another!"
Suddenly, they heard a funny sound. "Ribbit, ribbit!" It was a frog! The frog hopped by, looking for bugs. "Hello, little frog!" they all said. The frog jumped high. "Hop, hop, hop!"
They laughed and kept hunting. "I found a blue egg!" squeaked Zoe. "Yay!" cheered Lily.
At last, they counted their eggs. "One, two, three... ten!" they sang. "What a fun day!"
They sat down in the grass. The sun was warm. They shared their eggs and smiles. “Happy Easter!” they all said.
The frog came back. He winked and hopped away. The girls giggled. What a magical day!
