Bunny wakes with a hop. Sun is warm. Birds sing. Today is Easter. Bunny smells the dew. He wears a small blue scarf. He hops to the green yard.

Friends come. Chick peeps. Lamb bleats. Squirrel runs with a bright nut. They laugh. "Let us paint eggs," says Bunny. They sit on soft grass. Pots of paint shine. Red, yellow, pink, blue. Little paws and wings dip and dot. Tiny hands clap. Colors bloom.

Bunny fills a tiny basket. He hides eggs in the yard. "Find them!" he says. Chick looks under a leaf. Lamb peeks behind a log. Squirrel lifts a leaf and finds a pink egg. They all cheer. The sun tickles them. The world looks like a box of paint.

A gentle stream glows. Frog pops up to say hello. Everyone shares a bright egg. Bunny gives a blue egg to Chick. Chick hugs it with a beak. Lamb gets a yellow egg. Squirrel gets a red nut egg. They nibble a bit of sweet bread. No one is hungry.

As the day ends, they sit in a ring. Stars blink. Lanterns sway. Bunny feels warm in his chest. He smiles at his friends. They sing a soft song. Night is calm.

Easter is full of color, song, and close friends.

Kind hearts make bright days.
