One morning, Bear woke up in the golden sun. “I am big. I am strong. I want to help,” said Bear. Bear walked into the green forest. Tall trees waved hello. Soft grass tickled Bear's paws.
Squirrel jumped down. “Hello, Bear! Can you help me find my nut?” Squirrel asked.
“Yes, I can help,” said Bear. Bear sniffed the air. Bear looked under a leaf. “Here is your nut, Squirrel,” said Bear.
“Thank you, Bear!” said Squirrel. Squirrel's eyes sparkled.
Rabbit hopped by. “Hello, Bear! Can you help me find my hop?” Rabbit asked.
“Yes, I can help,” said Bear. Bear jumped up high. “Like this, Rabbit!” said Bear.
Rabbit smiled. “Thank you, Bear! Now I can hop again.”
Little Bird fluttered near. “Hello, Bear! Can you help me sing?” Bird asked.
“Yes, I can help,” said Bear. Bear hummed a soft song. “La-la, la-la,” sang Bear.
Bird listened. Bird sang too. “Thank you, Bear! Now I can sing,” said Bird.
Bear walked on. “I helped Squirrel. I helped Rabbit. I helped Bird. I am happy,” said Bear.
The sun shone warm. The wind whispered soft. All the animals came close.
“Thank you, Bear! You are kind. You are brave. You are wise,” said the animals.
Bear smiled. Bear's heart was a warm, round honey pot.
“I like to help. I like my friends. I am happy,” said Bear.
The animals hugged Bear. The forest glowed golden and green.
Bear closed eyes. “Good night, friends,” said Bear.
“Good night, Bear,” said the animals. The stars twinkled above like tiny lanterns. The forest was full of love and dreams.
