In a bright, colorful circus, a little girl named Lily clapped her hands. “Yay! Circus time!” she cheered. The air smelled like popcorn and cotton candy.
“Look, Lily!” shouted Max, the funny clown with a big red nose. “It's the cannon man!”
“Whoosh! Boom!” said Mr. Cannon, the man in a sparkly suit. He smiled and waved. “I'm going to fly!”
“Fly? Like a bird?” asked Lily, her eyes wide.
“Yes! Watch me!” said Mr. Cannon. He climbed into a big, shiny cannon.
“Is he going to go boom?” giggled Max.
“Boom! Boom!” laughed Lily.
Mr. Cannon peeked out. “Are you ready?” he called.
“Yes!” cheered Lily and Max.
“Three… two… one… Blast off!” shouted Mr. Cannon.
With a loud bang, he flew high into the air! “Wheee!” he shouted, twirling like a star.
“Look at him go!” said Max, waving his colorful hands. “He's flying like a rocket!”
Lily giggled and clapped. “More, more!”
Mr. Cannon landed softly on a big, fluffy trampoline. “I'm back!” he said, bouncing up and down.
“Do it again!” shouted Lily.
“Okay!” said Mr. Cannon. “But this time, I'll bring a surprise!”
Lily and Max squealed with joy. The circus was full of magic and laughter! “Best day ever!” Lily exclaimed, smiling wide.
