Tommy is one year old. Tommy likes to run. Tommy likes to jump. Tommy loves to play badminton. Tommy has a small racket. It is blue. He holds it tight. “Let's play!” says Tommy.
Tommy is in the park. He feels happy. He sees the green grass. He sees the big trees. Tommy waves his racket. “I want to play with friends,” says Tommy.
A funny friend hops close. It is Sparkle Bunny! Sparkle Bunny is soft. Sparkle Bunny has rainbow ears. Sparkle Bunny smiles. “Hello, Tommy! Do you want a friend?” asks Sparkle Bunny. Tommy nods. He claps his hands. “Yes, please!”
Together, Tommy and Sparkle Bunny giggle. They hit the shuttle up, up, up! “Look, it flies!” says Tommy. “Badminton is fun!” says Sparkle Bunny.
Two children come. They have rackets too. “Can we play?” they ask. Tommy smiles. “Yes!” says Tommy. The children are happy. “Let's make teams,” says Sparkle Bunny.
Tommy and Sparkle Bunny are one team. The two children are another team. “Let's have a fun game!” says Sparkle Bunny. The game begins. Tommy runs. He hits the shuttle. Sometimes he misses. Sometimes he cheers!
“Try again, Tommy!” says Sparkle Bunny. Tommy tries again. He laughs. He jumps. He hits the shuttle. “Good job, Tommy!” says Sparkle Bunny.
The other children clap. “You are fast,” they say. Tommy smiles. “Thank you!” he says. Everyone plays together. Everyone smiles.
At the end, all the friends sit down. Tommy feels happy. Sparkle Bunny hugs Tommy. “Playing is fun. Friends are kind,” says Sparkle Bunny.
Tommy nods. “Teamwork is good. I like my friends.” Tommy is proud. He learned to try. He learned to share. He loves to play. He loves his new friends.
