A joyful 2-year-old girl with short brown hair and rosy cheeks in a red dress and red shoes kicks a white-and-blue soft ball into a small net; nearby, 3-year-old blond boy Ben claps and leans forward to her left, and a female coach in her 30s with tied hair, fair skin, a yellow t‑shirt and blue shorts stands behind the net holding it proudly. They are on a sunny park lawn with round trees, a shiny puddle, a colorful mat, an orange hoop and a wicker basket by a red cone; bright colors, simple shapes, soft outlines, smooth gradients, centered composition on the girl and the net. report a problem with this image

Mia puts on her small red shoes. She smiles. Today is park day. She loves to move.

At the park, Mia sees a round ball. It is soft. She kicks it. The ball rolls. "I can kick," she says. Her friend Ben claps. They run slowly. They laugh. Running feels warm and fun.

A kind coach holds a small net. "Try to kick in the net," she says. Mia looks, then runs. She kicks. The ball goes in. Mia jumps up. Her toes feel light. She feels proud. The coach says, "Good job, Mia." Mia feels happy.

Later, Mia sits on a small mat. The coach shows a hoop. "Jump in," she says. Mia bends, then jumps. She lands safe. Ben cheers. They take turns. Mia learns to wait. She learns to share.

Next, the coach brings a soft ball and a small basket. "Throw," she says. Mia throws gently. The ball drops in the basket. Mia claps. Throwing is new and bright. She tries again. She smiles when she gets the ball close.

A big puddle blocks the path. Mia stops. She looks at Ben. Ben says, "We hop!" They hop together. Hopping is fun. Mia giggles. She feels brave.

Mia sits a moment. Her cheeks are warm. She drinks water. The coach says, "You play well and you help." Mia nods. She helps Ben pick his hat. She helps the coach hold the net. Helping feels good.

At the game, Mia does not always win. One time the ball misses the net. She feels sad for a breath. The coach hugs her and says, "Try again. It is okay." Mia breathes deep. She smiles and tries again. This time the ball goes in. Her friends clap.

The sun is low. Mia waves bye. She feels soft and proud. She learned to run, jump, kick, throw and share. She learned to wait, try and help.

Moral: Playing together makes us strong, kind and happy.
