Mia is a little girl. Mia is one year old. This morning, Mia wakes up with a big smile. Sunlight dances on her blanket. She feels happy. Mia wants to play.
Today, Mia's daddy brings her outside. There is a small ball, round and soft, on the grass. “Look, Mia,” Daddy says. Mia giggles and touches the ball. It feels nice. She taps it with her tiny hand. The ball moves a little. Mia claps.
Daddy sits close. “Let's kick the ball,” he says. Mia stands, holding Daddy's hand. She lifts her foot and taps the ball gently. The ball rolls. Mia laughs. Daddy cheers, “Good job, Mia!”
Mia tries again. Sometimes the ball goes sideways. Sometimes the ball stops. Daddy smiles. “It is okay,” he says. “We try again.” Mia feels warm and safe.
Soon, Mia sees other children and parents. They all roll balls and take turns. Mia watches. She waves and smiles. A small boy gives his ball to Mia. She points to the ball. “Ball!” she says. The boy smiles. Mia taps the ball to him. He laughs, and they play together. Their parents smile too.
Sometimes the ball bumps into feet, sometimes it rolls far, but everyone is happy. Daddy claps. “You share, Mia. That is kind,” Daddy says.
After playing, Mia feels tired. She sits on Daddy's lap. He hugs her. Mia snuggles close.
Moving and playing is fun. Mia feels proud. She loves to try new things. She loves to play with friends.
It feels good to play and share with kind friends.
