Mia loves to run. She runs fast. She jumps high. Her friend Zoe laughs and runs too. "Let's play handball," says Mia. Zoe claps. "Yes! Let's play together!"

The sun is warm. The grass is green. Mia and Zoe hold the soft ball. Their shoes are bright. Their shirts are blue.

A big friend comes. He is Sam. Sam is a handball champion. He smiles. "Hello, Mia! Hello, Zoe!" says Sam. "I love handball. Do you?" Mia nods. "I love handball!" Zoe jumps. "Me too!"

Sam shows them how to throw the ball. "Throw high!" says Sam. Mia throws. The ball goes up. Zoe catches. "Good job!" says Sam. "Teamwork is fun!"

Now it is time for a big game. Mia looks for her shoes. Her shoes are gone. "Oh no! My shoes," says Mia. Zoe looks too. No shoes. Mia feels sad.

Sam kneels down. "Mia, let's think. Can you play in your socks?" Mia smiles. "I can try!" Zoe holds Mia's hand. "We play together," says Zoe.

Mia runs in her socks. She throws the ball. She laughs. Zoe cheers. "Go, Mia!" Sam claps. "You are strong and brave," says Sam. "You did not give up."

Mia is happy. She played with friends. She listened. She learned. Mia and Zoe hug. "We love handball," they say.

Handball is fun. Playing with friends is best. Trying together makes everyone happy.
