In a small, busy city, there lived a little boy named Tom. Tom was two years old. He loved playing outside. One sunny morning, Tom saw his mommy sorting out trash.

"Mommy, what are you doing?" asked Tom.

"Hello, Tom," said Mommy. "I am recycling. We put paper here," she pointed to a blue bin, "and plastic here," she pointed to a green bin.

Tom smiled. "Can I help?"

"Yes, you can," said Mommy. "Helping is good."

Tom found a piece of paper. He put it in the blue bin. "Paper goes here!"

Then, Tom found a plastic bottle. He put it in the green bin. "Plastic goes here!"

"Well done, Tom!" said Mommy. "You are helping the Earth."

Tom felt happy. “I like helping.”

Together, they walked to the park. Tom saw lots of trash on the ground. "Oh no, Mommy! Look!"

Mommy said, "Let's pick it up, Tom."

Tom picked up a can. "This goes in the green bin."

Mommy picked up a paper cup. "This goes in the blue bin," she said.

Tom smiled. "We are making the park nice."

“Yes, we are,” said Mommy. “You are doing a great job, Tom.”

Tom saw his friends. "Come help us," he called.

His friends came over. They helped too. Soon, the park was clean.

Tom's friend, Lily, said, "Look, the park is so pretty now."

"Yes," said Tom. "We helped the Earth."

Mommy hugged Tom. "You are a great helper."

Tom giggled. "I like helping the Earth."

And from that day, Tom and his friends always helped to keep the Earth clean. It made them happy, and the Earth was happy too.
