In a sunny little yard, there was a small boy named Timmy. Timmy loved to play. He played with his toys, his balls, and his teddy bear. But one day, he saw something new.

"Look! A new friend!" Timmy said with a big smile.

It was a little girl named Mia. She was sitting on the grass, looking at a butterfly.

"Hello!" said Timmy. "Do you want to play?"

Mia looked up and smiled. "Yes! I like to play!"

Timmy jumped with joy. "Let's chase the butterfly!"

So, they ran and ran. The butterfly flew high, and Timmy and Mia giggled.

"Catch it!" Timmy shouted.

Mia laughed. "I can't! It's too fast!"

They stopped to rest. They sat on the grass, side by side.

"Do you like butterflies?" Timmy asked.

"Yes! They are pretty!" Mia said.

Timmy nodded. "And friends are pretty too!"

Mia smiled. "Yes! Friends are fun!"

Timmy took out a toy car. "Do you want to play with my car?"

Mia's eyes sparkled. "Yes, please!"

They rolled the car together. "Vroom, vroom!" they said.

Then, they shared some cookies. "Yummy!" said Timmy.

"Yummy!" said Mia.

As the sun began to set, Timmy said, "Today was fun! You are my friend, Mia."

Mia beamed. "Yes, Timmy! Friends are special."

They waved goodbye, happy and smiling.

"See you tomorrow!" Timmy called.

"See you, Timmy!" Mia replied.

And that's how Timmy found a new friend, and they both learned that friendship is a treasure to cherish.
