Sam is three years old. Summer is here!
“Let's go outside!” says Mom. Sam claps his hands.
They go to the park. The sun is warm. The sky is blue.
“Look, Sam! Ducks!” says Dad. The ducks quack and splash. Sam laughs.
Next, they find a playground. “We can swing!” says Mom. Sam swings high. He feels like flying!
“You're so brave!” cheers Dad. “Whee!” shouts Sam.
After playing, they sit on the grass. Mom has a picnic. “Yummy sandwiches!” says Sam.
“More juice, please!” asks Dad. Sam giggles.
Later, they go to the library. “Books, books!” Sam loves books.
“Let's read together,” says Mom. Sam picks a big book. They read about stars.
“Look at those stars!” says Dad. “They twinkle!”
As the day ends, Sam is happy. “Summer days are fun!” he says.
“Yes, they are!” says Mom.
Sam hugs his family. “I love you!”
“We love you too, Sam.”
Together, they smile. What a wonderful summer day!
