On a sunny morning, little Jack woke up with a big smile. "Good morning, sun!" he said, looking out the window. It was summer, and Jack was on holiday. Today, he wore his bright red hat and his blue sandals. "Let's go to the garden!" said Mommy.
In the garden, Jack felt the soft grass under his feet. "Tickle, tickle," he giggled. He saw a butterfly flutter by. "Flap, flap," went the butterfly's wings. Jack waved. "Hello, butterfly!"
Mommy had a picnic basket. "Time for a snack," she said. She gave Jack a juicy apple. "Crunch, crunch," Jack bit into the apple. It was sweet and tasty. He liked summer snacks.
After the snack, Jack saw a little pool. "Splash, splash!" he said, dipping his toes in the water. It was cool and fun. "Look at the water!" he laughed. Mommy clapped. "Good job, Jack!"
When the sun began to set, it was time to go inside. "Bye-bye, garden," Jack waved. He felt happy and sleepy.
Back inside, Mommy hugged Jack. "You had a fun day," she said softly. Jack nodded, his eyes closing.
Summer days bring little joys and gentle learning.
