Four 5-year-old girls play on a pastel check picnic blanket in a sunny summer garden: Mia, with brown pigtails and a wide red hat, sits left pouring water from a small red bucket over her feet; Ella, with short blonde hair in a yellow polka-dot dress, sits center-left smiling at a yellow ball; Zoe, with black braided hair, denim shorts and bright blue shoes, sits center-right filling a cup with water; Lily, with curly red hair and a small green basket, lies on the right laughing as she watches a blue butterfly; soft green grass with pink and white wildflowers, a large shady tree, sliced fruit in a small basket beside them, sparkling controlled water splashes, luminous watercolor colors, soft outlines and light artistic splashes around the water motions. report a problem with this image

It is summer. The sun shines. Birds sing. Four little girls sit on a soft blanket in the garden. Their names are Mia, Ella, Zoe, and Lily. Mia has a red hat. Ella holds a yellow ball. Zoe wears blue shoes. Lily has a small green bucket.

The girls feel happy. The grass is soft under their toes. The air smells sweet. Bees hum, but they do not come close. “Look, a butterfly!” says Mia. The girls watch the butterfly fly up and down. Ella claps her hands. Zoe smiles. Lily laughs.

Now, they play with water. Mia pours cool water on her feet. Ella giggles and does the same. Zoe fills her cup. Lily splashes a little. The water feels nice and fresh. “So cool!” says Zoe. The girls enjoy the little splashes. Everyone is safe and dry.

They have fruit for a snack. Mia eats a slice of peach. Ella likes the taste of apple. Zoe chooses banana. Lily nibbles a strawberry. The fruit is sweet and cold. The girls wipe their hands on a small towel.

After snack, they draw in the sand with sticks. Mia draws a sun. Ella draws a flower. Zoe makes a wiggly line. Lily draws a big heart.

Soon, they feel sleepy. They lie on the blanket. The wind is soft. The trees move gently. The girls close their eyes and rest.

Summer days are good for playing, sharing, and being together.

It is nice to enjoy small things with friends.
