In a bright green land, there was a very brave knight. The knight wore a big shiny hat and a soft purple cape. No one knew the knight's name. Some called the knight “Sir Hop!” for the way boots went hop, hop, hop in the grass.
Early one morning, Sir Hop heard, “Toc-toc!” at the castle door. It was little Mia Mouse. “Sir Hop! My ball went plop in the pond. Can you help?” she said. Sir Hop smiled. “Yes! Let's go!”
Sir Hop and Mia walked through tall grass. Birds sang, “Tweet-tweet!” Sir Hop held Mia's paw. When they saw the pond, they heard, “Plouf!” A tiny frog jumped out. “Ribbit! I saw the ball!” said the frog.
Sir Hop knelt down, boots making a soft “Squish!” Frog pointed, “There!” The red ball floated by the reeds. Sir Hop picked up a stick. “I am strong!” said Sir Hop. Mia and Frog watched. Sir Hop reached out. “Stretch! Stretch!” The stick touched the ball. “Yay!” cheered Mia.
“Oops!” The ball rolled away. Sir Hop ran fast. “Hop, hop, hop!” The knight stopped the ball. “Safe now!” Sir Hop said. Mia clapped. Frog did a flip.
Suddenly, there was a “Buzz-buzz!” A blue bee was stuck in a tiny web. Sir Hop tiptoed close. “Time to help again!” Sir Hop said. The knight's gentle hand set the bee free. “Bzzz! Thank you!” said the bee.
All friends cheered. “Sir Hop is brave and kind!” said Mia. Sir Hop smiled. The sun shone bright. The adventure was done. All walked home, step by step, “Toc-toc, hop-hop, plouf!”
When you help friends, you feel very brave and happy inside.
