Lady Mira was a dreamy knight. She rode a small pony, Clip-Clop, through the green castle yard. Her cape went swish-swish. Her helmet shone, ding-ding, in the sun.
Today the King said, “Brave Lady Mira, the Great Bell is quiet. Will you help it ring?”
Lady Mira bowed. “I will,” she said. “For the castle and for all our friends!”
She trotted to the tall bell tower. Up, up the steps: tap-tap, tap-tap. At the top, she found the rope on the floor. The knot was loose. The bell could not sing.
Lady Mira took a slow breath. “I can do this,” she said.
She looked close. She used her smart eyes. She made a new knot, loop-loop, pull-pull. She tested it with gentle hands. “Hop!” she said, and the rope held tight.
But the bell still did not ring. A little stick was stuck by the bell's wheel. “Oh!” said Lady Mira. “A small stuck stick.”
She did not yank. She did not rush. She took a tiny oil pot from her belt. Drip-drip. Then she nudged the stick. Pop! Out it slid.
Lady Mira smiled. She held the rope. “Ready, Clip-Clop?” she called.
The pony looked up and went “Neigh!”
Lady Mira pulled. One… two… three… TOLL! TOLL! The Great Bell sang across the fields. Birds went flap-flap. Children clapped, clap-clap, in the yard.
The King cheered. “Hooray for our knight!”
Lady Mira laughed. “Hooray!” she said, and she dreamed of the next quest.
Moral: Brave hearts stay calm, use kind hands, and keep trying until things work.
