Mia is a little girl. Mia likes to play outside. One morning, Mia walks with her mom in the park. She sees a bird in a tree. The bird sings, "Tweet, tweet!"
Mia asks, "Mom, why is the bird here?"
Her mom smiles. "Birds need trees to live. Trees are their homes."
Mia sees some trash on the ground. She frowns. "Oh no, the park is messy."
Mia and her mom pick up the trash. They put it in the bin. Mia claps her hands. "Now the park is clean!"
A friend comes over. "Let's plant flowers," he says.
"Yes!" says Mia. They dig little holes. They put seeds in the ground. They cover the seeds with dirt. Mia waters the ground.
"Grow, little seeds," Mia says.
More friends help. Everyone smiles. The sun shines. The birds sing.
Soon, green shoots come up. Little flowers bloom. Butterflies come. Bees buzz.
Mia is happy. She says, "We help the park. The animals are happy. We are happy too!"
Her mom hugs her. "When we take care of nature, nature takes care of us."
Mia says, "I want to help every day!"
Everyone laughs. The park is bright and full of life.
