Lily is a little girl. Lily loves summer. Summer is sunny and warm. Lily is happy.

One day, Lily sits with her mommy. Mommy has a big book. The book is about summer.

“Look, Lily!” says Mommy. “This is a beach. People play here. They swim in the sea.”

“Splash, splash!” says Lily. She claps her hands. “I like the beach!”

Mommy smiles. “Yes, Lily. The beach is fun. We have a picnic there.”

Lily and her family go to the park. They have a picnic. Lily eats a sandwich. She drinks juice. “Yummy!” says Lily.

After lunch, Lily sees a bird. “Tweet, tweet!” says the bird.

“Hello, bird!” says Lily. She waves. The bird flies away. Lily giggles.

At home, Daddy shows Lily a movie. The movie is about a festival. People dance and sing.

“Dance, dance!” says Lily. She dances with Daddy. “This is fun!”

Every night, Lily sits with her family. They talk about the day. Lily tells them, “I saw a bird! I danced with Daddy!”

“Wow, Lily!” says Mommy. “You had a big day!”

“Yes!” says Lily. She smiles. “I love summer.”

Lily thinks of her friends. She wants to share her summer. “Let's play!” says Lily.

Lily and her friends play in the garden. They pretend to go to the beach. They pretend to dance at the festival.

Lily is happy. She learns new things. She plays with her family and friends. Summer is special.

“Thank you, summer!” says Lily. She hugs Mommy and Daddy.

Mommy and Daddy hug Lily. “We love you, Lily,” they say.

Lily smiles. Summer is sunny. Summer is fun. Summer is full of love.

And Lily is very happy.
