A joyful 2-year-old girl with rosy cheeks and short blonde pigtails in a pink polka-dot summer dress and sandals swings high with her legs in the air; her mother (about 30), light brown hair in a ponytail, smiling in a yellow T‑shirt and jeans, pushes the swing near a red-check picnic basket; a short brown-and-white dog runs nearby with its tongue out; sunny park with green grass, daisies and poppies, leafy trees, a wooden bench and a pastel blue ice cream truck in the background; warm golden light, soft shadows, pastel color palette, a safe cozy summer moment. report a problem with this image

Lily woke up. The sun was bright. "It's summer!" she said.

Mom smiled. "Yes, Lily! Time for fun!"

Lily clapped her hands. "Fun! Fun!"

They went outside. The grass was green. Flowers were bright. Lily picked a flower. "Look, Mom! A flower!"

"Beautiful, Lily!" Mom said. "Let's go to the park!"

At the park, there were swings. Lily ran to the swings. "Push me, please!" she said.

Mom pushed her. "Whee!" cried Lily. "Higher, higher!"

After the swings, they had a picnic. There was a blanket. Lily sat on the blanket. "Yummy food!" she said.

Mom gave her a sandwich. "Eat, Lily. It's good!"

Lily took a big bite. "Mmm! Good sandwich!"

They saw a little dog. It ran fast. "Look, Mom! A dog!" Lily giggled.

"Can we play?" Lily asked the dog. The dog wagged its tail.

"Yes, we can!" said Mom.

Lily ran with the dog. They played chase. "Run, run!" Lily laughed.

After playing, it was time for ice cream. "Ice cream! Yay!" Lily shouted.

They went to the ice cream truck. "One scoop, please!" Lily said.

Mom picked a cone. "Here you go, Lily!"

Lily took a lick. "So sweet! Yum!"

Later, they saw a big tree. "Climb, climb!" Lily wanted to try.

"Not too high, Lily," Mom said gently.

Lily climbed a little. "Look at me!" she cheered.

"You're brave!" Mom clapped.

As the sun began to set, they sat on the grass. The sky turned orange and pink.

"Summer is fun," Lily said, smiling.

"Yes, it is!" Mom said. "We had a great day."

Lily yawned. "I love summer."

"Me too, sweet girl," Mom said, hugging her.

They went home, happy and tired. Summer was full of joy.
